The School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at the NFSU Nagpur Campus is dedicated to developing the next generation of experts needed to combat the rapidly escalating threat of cybercrime and data breaches in the digital age. The campus's flagship offering in this domain is the two-year, post-graduate degree, M.Sc. Cyber Security. The curriculum is highly specialized and interdisciplinary, designed not only to teach preventative measures but also to focus on the technical and legal methodologies for crime investigation. Key areas of study include Cyber Security, Computer Forensics, Mobile Forensics, Network Security & Forensics, Web Application Security, Malware Analysis, and Incident Response Management, AI Forensics, Cloud Forensics etc.
Crucially, the program integrates emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Block-chain, and Crypto-currencies into the forensic context, ensuring graduates are prepared for future challenges like investigating Decentralized Finance (DeFi) crimes and IoT vulnerabilities. The program emphasizes a strong practical component, mandatory Laboratory work, and a Major Project to give students first-hand experience with industry-standard forensic tools.
